Reading Counts is
a reading motivation and management program that helps encourage
and monitor independent reading. The features work
together to verify student comprehension and match students with
texts on their reading level.
Students
select a book, read the book at their own pace, then take a
short random-question quiz on the computer to verify
comprehension of each book they read. Students earn
points, based on the reading level, after completing the quiz for each book they read.
Each week students have the opportunity to visit the Reading
Counts store based on the number of points they have earned.
Reading Counts
Store is open every Tuesday, from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm in the
media center! Read a book, pass a test, and choose a
prize!! Keep reading and get more prizes!! New items
added weekly. Get 100 points and travel around the
world....
