At 5 a.m. the alarm clock
rings,
Another ordinary day begins.
I hug my kids and kiss my wife,
Little did I know the sacrifice.
911, a call for help... or
just a day.
It doesn't matter, I'm on my way.
I'm at the station when in comes the call,
Next thing I know, the twin towers fall.
During my search through
the black, dusty rubble,
I found someone who was in trouble.
I pulled, dug, and toiled with all my might.
One more pull and I've won the fight.
Cheers and tears for one
single life was saved.
For 24 hours one soul did pray......
How could I ever be that brave?
I stopped for a moment to thank God for my life,
When my cell phone rang and it was my wife.
